Process

How it works (simplified)

  1. 01

Enquiry & consultation: target product, markets, branding, quantity.

  2. 02

Quotation & feasibility: Components & prices are bundled.

  3. 03

Approval & procurement: Bottles/tubes, raw materials, print data; start of documentation.

  4. 04

Production & Filling: Bulk production, laboratory approvals, filling (tubes/bottles), finishing.

  5. 05

Delivery: Final inspection, quarantine approval, Europe-wide dispatch – ready for sale on request.

Note: For new cosmetic formulations, safety assessments and stability/preservation tests are required (realistically 4–5 months until market readiness). Existing Lubry formulations significantly reduce time and costs.

Quality & Safety

Documented, tested, ready for sale

For cosmetic products, the EU requires a full safety assessment and a Product Information File (PIF); every product is notified on the EU portal (CPNP) before being placed on the market. We handle this entire process for you – from formulation documentation and safety assessment right through to registration. You receive your product with the documentation required by retailers and the authorities.

We manufacture in accordance with GMP as per ISO 22716 and undergo external certification every year. In addition, we carry out one internal and one external audit per year – the external one being the certification audit. We conduct both audits voluntarily because we want to measure ourselves against strict standards.

Quantities & Packaging

Containers and minimum quantities – explained transparently

We fill into various containers – from the smallest 20 ml tube to a litre bottle. A 5-litre canister is currently in preparation. Fully automatic filling machines are available for every container.

There is a simple reason for the minimum quantities: a machine is set up before each order and cleaned afterwards – a total of around two hours during which it is idle. To ensure this remains cost-effective, minimum quantities apply. For tubes, we generally start at 5,000 units (for existing customers, fewer may be possible on occasion); for bottles, we start at a few hundred units.

The decisive factor is our minimum batch size in the mixer. If we need to disperse raw materials – for example, with gels that need stirring – we produce at least 400 litres of bulk product. This determines the minimum order quantity depending on the fill size. For example: 400 bottles of 1 litre each make 400 litres – that works. 200 bottles of 1 litre each would only make 200 litres – we wouldn’t do that. For a 100-ml tube, we would need around 4,000 units to reach the 400 litres.

If, on the other hand, we are simply blending – for example, massage gels, oils or perfumes – we can produce as little as 100 to 200 litres. Just ask us: we’ll work out your requirements transparently and are often more flexible than the minimum quantities might initially suggest. For existing customers, even smaller quantities are possible.

Freshly produced, not from stock. We do not keep bulk stock. We produce every product – whether contract manufacturing or private label – fresh, because your customers and the end customers deserve fresh goods. Only for standard products that we fill frequently do we often have a few tonnes of bulk stock that is a few weeks old available at short notice. As a general rule: no bulk stock that is more than three to four weeks old at the time of filling.
